Well I think this feature is a decent one, for those cases where the FC master is quitting without notice, but I think 35 days is a bit short. It's just a prolonged holiday, and going through a leadershipcycle just because of a prolonged holiday seems to me a bit unneccesary.
Especially for smaller, casual FCs, who don't have a whole bunch of officers - what if none of them happened to log on for that week? Personally, I don't run up to strangers for no reason and ask them to join, but you still don't know the newer members all that well - I guess the thought of leadership accidentally being passed to someone I don't know well enough to entrust ranking to yet, is a bit... well I'm not quite comfortable with it. But thats just me.

In any case, I think 90 days might be a better timer.

agreed 90 days is a much better timer. im an FC leader myself and i cant even take a break without fear of loosing the entire FC to someone who messes everything up. we have a large house as well and i dont want to kick my entire FC just to prevent a demotion, i love my peeps.

Btw, as long as this thread have resurrected, I think the answer is a simple "trust your officers"!

New leadership goes to the highest ranked, that is supposed be an officer, so there is no problem leaving things in their hands for the while.

If a leader doesn't trust his officers, he doesn't need to lead a FC, IMHO.

In the event a free company master does not log in for 35 days (Earth time), ownership will be automatically transferred to another free company member, based upon the following criteria:
1. Members who have logged in within the past seven days
2. Higher-ranked members preferred
3. Senior members preferred
