As a Monk from day 1 of playing, the ONLY time I found it useful was during Crystal Tower Fate Bosses (before you have access to CT) where soloing them was damn near impossible with a Stoneskin up. That can be removed.. I've tried it on T1 snakes, T4 Soldier Stoneskins, Tonberry King stacks, none of it works. So its not very useful. Now I would not be surprised at all if Leviathan or one of the enemies in Thornmarch Ex had a mechanic where they needed to be debuffed. Granted monks have great DPS, they bring less to the table than every other dps class. So hopefully Dev's have found a good use for OIP
So far it's not very useful indeed. only in some dungeons or just farming random mobs in the world. but nobody will notice if you don't use it. As of now it's only used in PvP. you can for instance combine it with perfect balance and get 3/4 one ilm punches off. byeee all the buffs on a dps or healer ;) But maybe the new leviathan or coils will need a one ilm punch during a phase. but that would mean every party needs atleast 1 monk which is also kind of strange.. don't know how SE will work with or around this skill yet.
