New classes/jobs coming

Not sure why you quoted what I wrote because your comments seem to have no relevance.

I fully expect they ARE working on new classes .. races I think very unlikely .. I simply said it's too early for them to TALK about it. They HAVE made recent references to the state of development of 3.0, indicating a lot of development is well advanced and given their history with FFXI there's every reason to EXPECT new classes with expansion packs.

I jusy don't get this rising clamour for information on something that there's zero chance to happen before 3.0 (which I take to be the first expac) which itself is at least 6 months away (even if then), it's totally unreasonable to expect SE to say anything this early.

Are people's attention spans now so short they are already bored with what exists right now?

Legacy players that came in with all jobs at 50, all they have to do is grind gear and achievements. and people like me who just dont want to level anything other than the couple jobs they enjoy playing, Yes.

personally I'm really glad that they are giving me a reason to log in everyday to do the dailies again and the retainer ventures. so I'll have something to do even when my FC isnt doing anything.

MMORPG's save the new classes/races/lands for when they start to see a decline in profit/subs. It's how they max income potential. I'm sure Square Enix knows this marketing technique. Until then it will be rumors and leakage of rumors.

So, now that with Story patch 2.2 the Thief/Ninja officially was introduced (even if yet to be named) I'm curious if we see new classes in 2.3 :)

Altough my guess would be no: Storyquest in 2.3 will introduce another class; 2.4 again a new class; and so on til the Addon hits the store where all new introduced classes/jobs will be playable.

Ninja. I'm only interested in ninja. . . . especially since they released the Fuma gear for the Mnk, DAMN YOU SQUEENIX!! Stahp making me look like a ninja before I am one!!
