Tis not the same, we want actual climbing. Like 3 point contact climbing.

I see ladders now and then, but it seems my character is completely lost to how they function.

That AGONIZINGLY slow ladder climb, leaving you to wonder until the very end whether that deadly Tarus turned during the cutscene so they'd notice you on the top of the ladder as soon as the cutscene ended, resulting in your inevitable death, and likely the deaths of any party members that attempted to assist you.

Was a scary, scary place, Phomiuna, back when those areas were still level-capped...
