If they keep going with foreign names like Zenith, I don't think they'll switch to the greek alphabet and go on with alpha, beta and so on.

Probably next upgrade with new tomes. Looks like they are going to throw away even Twin weapons, eh.

I guess the next really strong weapons we'll get with T9.
My thought is: Now that we can probably craft i90 weapons, Leviathan might drop i100 and we can get i110 with the next relic upgrade, so T9 should drop i115.

While it's probably gonna be a myth or myth-duo grind to go from Zenith to Zenith-èr, I do hope Zenith-èr comes with some sort of effect that makes it desirable.

And I hope one will need Zenith before getting Zenith-èr, and so on and not be able to just skip straight to Zenitn-èr.

I do understand the importance of Relic weapons in FF lore, upgrading them every 2 patches is also cool. What is not cool IMHO is keeping them the same. I wish they add more to it than just increasing the number of the stats and adding a new glow effect.

Special stats are long due, this could have been a good opportunity to test them, even something miner such as Sure Cast allow casting while moving 3 meters for the next cast. Stuff like that improve game play and diversity without breaking anything.

Reality check says, you cap the new tomes for the next 2-4 weeks, kill a boss or two, pay the toll and you get your upgrade which is better than ilvl95. I guess something to help pass the DPS check in T8-9 (There will be a dps check on both, I bet my account on it). I think crafting could have done just that while the new Zangief level relic could have been something fresh and special.

This is actually a really interesting point because someone on Reddit pointed out that in the original it says "「ゾディアックウェポン」という概念もパッチ2.2からスタートするのですが、こちらはまた追々……。" which translates toooooo "2.2 will be the beginning of the Zodiak weapon system, more will be revealed...". Obviously "Zenith" isn't related to the Zodiak, but it could totally start that with the next upgrade.

Please please please please don't just be "Trade 3 300 Allagan Tomestones of Newness items to furnace with weapon" this time... At the very least throw crafters a bone and have it involve double melded weapons again (the iLv70 ones this time).

i wish they can add specific effects to each weap available like maybe for sch (my main)
Improved zenith: gives chance to summon 2 fairies
leviathan weapon: make every aldo u cast crit
new t9 weap: gives god mode to every party member for 5 secs etc....

or for blackmage:
zenith +1: improve fire 3 proc chance by 50%! etc etc

not just plain new stats increase and BIS stats for us to choose etc

Wouldn't get your hopes up - but it would be cool if it was harder than just trading tomes.

maybe they will just increase the stats and let you do quests and turn in tomes to unlock the materia slots on relics >_>
