No unique tag, onegai!...
The day I found Nekogami <NEKO> another person also found Neko Garden <NEKO>... We share tag and it's kind of fun and I like it, nya!....
By having the tags unique... I would have need to choose another stupid tag, when the unique one I needed and wanted was <NEKO>.
Also, 5 chars for the tag is already, why is.... Because you can put NEKO there, so who would care about adding more than 5? Already with 4 is alright, nothing more needed... (Note, of course I'm joking with this.)
Eventually, the idea of show Company's crest and full name of company together with the name would be really nice. But Square Enix would need to add options for hide it, just like it is right now hiding the names entirely, so you can hide the company crests and tags of other players in case you are not interested or don't want to see it, or avoid getting the screen ugly.
I like that kind of options, for example I disallow show other player names aside of party members when I'm in the cities, the same happens when I'm crafting with the sound, I disallow the sounds made by other players (Because it is annoying being crafting with other 5 and hear the sounds, it makes me lose concentration)

Please no. Dont move the huge name of companies under people's names. Nor should they ever be allowed to do that with titles. That kills the immersion completely.
Also, 5 letters is more than enough. It's not meant for full names, it's meant for abreviations. 3 would have been good but would have produced to many duplicates. 4 is reasonable, 5 is just perfect really. Adding more will make it stop being abreviations, just names.

Would make any kind of event or run a pain with nothing but name tags walking around.
5 is fine. We're not going to change the entire system just because you want "Shinra". -

Yes, "Shinra" sounds very unique and diverse.
I wish we could get the option to HIDE the free company display after character names, because I honestly could not possibly care less about seeing which free company every character currently on the screen belongs to and it clutters the screen way too much as it is. Replacing the stupid 《SUMFC》 tags (up to seven extra chars per character!) with crests, like how it used to be, would be nice. -

its not just for our free company i hear people from all kinds of people who would love to have extra characters in the fc tag, personally i like the idea of having the full fc name below my main chars name better.. But even if thats not possible just think how much more epic YoshiP is than just Yoshi for example :p
Its just an idea that would expand possibilities in the game that wouldn't take too much effort on the programmers part
