Just seems like every other PGL gear choice, DEF is always higher than MDEF on those, which is why even the +2 I think I would still go Bucc's Shirt. That and technically the Bucc's EVA is still higher than Harrier's +2 if my calculations are correct. Also 48 HP and 6 VIT is no comparison.

Actually been thinking about tarred voyager's belt vs. Penance for a while now too. decisions decisions

I don't like penance ^^: I would stick with Tarred Voyager HQ or, if can't find any, bucca sash.

I'd use shirt over jacket if I could afford it. Currently use Jacket+1.

Same, but I am usually tanking. If I was taking a strictly DD role I'd use penance. That said I use the shirt - I don't even think about it. I use it because it took me so blasted long to get the drop on the thing I wear it to stabilize the hate I went through even getting it.

Now it's all about the Alpine War Jacket, get it or be left in the cold.
Less str, than bucc shirt (which will start to matter soon), but +3 to your 3 melee stats, and upgraded defenses from the bucc shirt.

Can you post its stats plz? Couldn't find it at YG. For PGL we always need to compare eva too...its even more important than def IMO.

Now, about the armor, i'd stick with Bucca Shirt. It has more STR, more HP, more eva and more Mdef. Only 23 extra Def is not worth the change IMO...doing this change you actually is exchanging 3 STR + 3 eva for 3 DEX and 24 HP for 3 VIT...not a good deal IMO.
