This is pretty much it, I doubt we will get more variety than what we have now, and they don't like the chance on hit things like we had in 1.0, like the stars when the moogle weapons proc'd was awesome, but if they don't want to add in those, I believe they should pony up some cash and pay for some rights to add sound to some weapons, like a monk weapon where everytime they hit 3 stacks of Greased Lightning, you get John Travolta proc where everyone hears "Ohhhhhh Greased Lightning!" Or a staff where whenever a black mage crits, you get to hear George Takei with his "Oh my!"

eh well the thing is... you have a bigger choice of which weapon you could chose from.. as well different ways to get your weapon you want to. instead of doing just one highend instance over and over again.

with different stats and appearance..

more individualism you know? i myself like the idea to equip my blm with more +crit stats than for example +casting speed..


how boring is it that everybody wears the same setup in the highend level?


fighting ifrit hardmode is quiet senseless now.. because the weapons are ilevel 60..


so why not giving the people the option to upgrade these by killing extreme ifrit? oh i know... that would be a bigger variety than just one ilevel 90 weapon per class... -.- oh dear.


i myself think that its a little bit dull to continue the item circle by just throwing away old staff.. instead of being able to upgrade them.. and giving incentives to play older content.


i wonder how people can complain about more item variety (which raises more individualism and complexity)... "isnt one ilevel 90 weapon enough per class?"

its not just about the looks.. also the stats... if i am focused to push for example the crit rate for my blm... its pointless that for example the AF2 armor has all but +crit stats on it..


the same for the ilevel 90 weapon which we can get... so it is NOT pointless to have different ilevel 90 weapons. of course it is if you dont mind to play clone wars II (concerning the stats)

Calm down. I didn't say anything about it being "pointless to have different ilevel 90 weapons" and I dunno where you're getting that from other than paranoid defensiveness. We already have multiple i90 weapons (such as Zenith and EX weapons) and I foresee there being more than 1 weapon per iLv tier in the future as well. I fail to see why that means they need to rehash the Primal weapons again.

I like this idea. Gives more of a variety, while also a different way to get the weapon.

Would be great if these particular weapons, since they were upgraded, would have a 2% - 5% chance of proc'ing with a DoT (wind, fire, something-for-Titan-since-sluggish-movement-wouldn't-make-sense) though still remain i85 or MAYBE i90.
