At least those small houses that nobody wants are cheap! I hope that any new wards they make have much more med/lrg plots. Not many fc's care for the inn room lots.

Gotta love the complex some players have that they gotta have big or go home.
Small plots are perfectly fine for FCs that have 10 or less players. It's all about the amount of players you got.
And in our little group of 5-6 players that are mostly active, we were able to raise 3.6 million in a month. I have a funny feeling people are just not trying hard enough in an FC of 24+ players who wanna go for the medium house. Make it a goal.
If one person sets a goal of making 20k a day through selling on AH and whatnot (Easily done with the proper knowledge of what is selling on the AH, doing dailies and roulettes in a night), for say, five days in a week with the permit of two days of doing other things in life:
20x5=100k
In a month, that's 400k done by one player.
24 players doing just that will make 9.6 million in one month. In two months, you're nearly at the goal that you want to be for medium housing: 20 million (By two months, the prices of lots, if not bought, will have dipped lower than 20 million on the more expensive lots.)
For a medium land, a two month goal for a house isn't that bad considering it's been two months now that the FC housing has been released. So in essence, if people managed their time properly and actually set an FC goal of housing, they could do it easily enough.
Hell, make it 30k a day which takes a bit more work on the AH (got some wheeling and dealing to do on a daily basis plus doing everything every single day):
30x5 = 150k
150x4 = 600k
14.4 million in one month if all 24 players would do that. In one month alone, you've amassed more than half what the medium lot is worth.
Honestly, a lot of people complain about the costs but when you crunch the numbers, it really is more of a goal. People want to have everything in reach on their own; that's not the point of FC housing.
I was a vocal voice when I saw the pricing at first. When I saw the size of the small house, I was a bit bummed out too cause I knew that this would be the only FC housing I'd be able to get with our small FC. But as we bought it which was great morale for all of us cause we made it a goal, and then started putting stuff in the house, not only did we realize that it was pretty decent, but that it fit us far more than a medium house would. Plus the fact that they're planning on increasing the size of the house by adding a room + basement, man, I'm stoked.
So people who start complaining about how 'small' the house is? I would suggest that your goals may be slightly overachieving for what you can do. Set yourself goals that you know you can do instead of something way up there that you set yourself up for disappointment. It's pretty much like life, honestly.
I'll remember to aim low in life so I am never disappointed. Got it.
Ambition = complex
Aim for the sky and complain there's no ladder big enough to reach. That's surely better!Quote:

My 100 people FC has raise 32 million (though I did more than 50% of it on my own).
Since 2.1, I made 11 million on my own. And people (about 35 total) donated 15 million. I already had 6 million by then. If prices remain how they are (at -0.14% 4 times a day), still 2-3 months before we can get our large house. I hope 2.2 lowers it to 30-40 million, then we can buy right off.
I know people aren't going to like this but I'll say it anyway. I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing housing is expensive. I believe it is good to have a long term goal for yourself and guilds. If you can get everything right away or really quickly there is nothing to shoot for and depending on what it is it can cheapen it. Now I'm not in a Free Company, so maybe the prices are too high. I'd still like to point out housing right now is seen as the crowning achievement of the game. The big carrot on the stick and goal most people have. Considering this I don't think it's bad for it to take months for a FC to acquire housing. It's the big goal of the game. People shouldn't be able to attain it right away! That being said, it might have been better for SE to release the housing prices earlier then they were before the housing was implemented so people had time to grasp what was in store more.
At the end of February, house prices will be equal across all worlds. That's why they are going to allow Legacy players to leave their servers starting from 1st March.
I would prefer housing to be more progressive. Make the land a little more inexpensive, but the walls/furnishings/etc more expensive or tougher to attain. Instead of saving and saving and saving then boom your done, now what?
In general I don't think housing is too outragously priced now. It was bad at the beginning, and still bad for some servers.
If there's only 30 members in my fc, we aren't hardcore epeeners, a Small is fine and allows us to do w/e. You'll still be able to do things a big house can do (airship build, garden etc) I'm sorry some people play this game only for epeen and not for actually fun.
Most M/L houses I've see are too busy and decorated by a 5 year old anyway, I think the S and M keeps your FC from going wild on decoration, but still some people overcrowd the medium. Seriously...let one guy do it..and agree on a vision...cause the houses I've seen are >< terrible decorated, like "lets fiill it up for epeen even though the game is missing some of the furniture we want" just aesthetically terrible. I'm only talking about my server though, I've even seen some people shout "needed interior decorator" don't be afraid to do that, if no one has taste in your FC, cause oh god tasteless FC houses are terrible.

I\'m not disagreeing whatsoever and I can assure u have no such complex, me and a few others have raised most of the gil we have and it's substantial for 3-4 players , the problem is Im not going to tell ppl how to spend their time, most don\'t gil farm and even less don't contribute but they pay to play the way they want.
I don't feel it's a stretch to aim for a higher house like medium.., that my friend is our GOAL:) I simply wouldn't mind seeing them lower them into the 10-15 mil range, that would still take awhile but its obtainable.
Its sound logic but unfortunately doesn't work if everyone doesn't have the same goal in mind, and thats expected IMO u pay to play the way u like. Anyway appreciate the comments all guess we'll see what happens.
