I really want to be a SCH and WHM padjal, I'm hoping that the first they'll release is Padjal race.

I'd like a primal race like this :

Padjal will never be playable simply due to their lore - they are actually born normally as hyur children until they are 'claimed' by the elementals and turned into padjal, growing horns and pointy ears while no longer growing and becoming ageless (although they can still die from injury or disease). They then become effectively a servant of the forest and thus have little to no freedom to how they live their lives - their entire life is devoted to serving the will of the elementals.
Thus a padjal could never be an adventurer - adventurers come and go as they will and thus if a padjal tried to do just that. the forest would literally spirit them away back to the Shroud. So yeah, padjal would never be a possible player race I'm afraid.
As for tonberries, if you've played through the SCH quests and actually read the dialogue, you'll know tonberries aren't even an actual race - tonberries are actually the result of a disease called 'the sickness from the sea' that mutated the people of Nym fifteen centuries in the past, warping their bodies and making them ageless, but retaining their minds intact. As the disease that created them appears to have disappeared, then it's highly likely no new tonberries will be formed.
Hence, no player tonberries I'm afraid. Besides, would you really want to be one of those horrid little monsters? ;)
