Ok I submitted a ticket to support via email, how long does it usually take SE to sort these things out? I am thinking they will not exactly be super quick with it. Would it be faster if I phoned them up maybe?

Negative. My boyfriend's account was hacked and someone linked their PSN ID to his SE account. He called customer service a few days ago to ask if he would be able to register a PS4 copy and was told "no." It's been over three months and they still haven't removed the other person's PS3 from his account. I'm really sorry to say this, but the only thing they will do is tell you it's an irreversible process. :(
