Plenty of things to find and see. I didn't know about all the coil suspected areas that others have explored. Personally I think the size is just fine and will only get bigger with expansions.

OP,
They make new games everyday. Why don't you go try one?
How can you complain, there are so many methods of transport to see different views, you can walk/run from map to map let alone walk around the whole map.
You can use your mount, a fun way to travel with extra speed.
You can use the airship.
You can teleport.
You can use in city crystals.
They are catering for every type of gamer, I think what they have done is quite brilliant really, in time maps will extend, new places to go, new things to do, just go and 'enjoy' the game the way you want to.
So many classes to level, things to save for, dungeons to explore.
Primals were made for a group to tactically beat a boss, of course it is in a small arena, how else can they test you if you are running away?
Even though I am a FF fanatic I can see they have catered for all basic principals they need in a game.
Vik
You have never been to prison/jail.
It feels nothing like gaming.
Speak for yourself. FFXI wasn't fun, it was tedious and mind-numbing. Companies are chasing the WoW structure, because it works. A game with nearly 10 years of longevity, 4 expansions with a 5th on the way and millions of players.
No one makes you use the crystals to travel. Use your mount. If you're longing for FFXI's tedious nature... Use your feet. Problem solved.
/thread.
Actually, one of the first things I did was go exploring. And it was fun. Tough, especially when I KNEW I was well out of areas where I could handle threats (lol, I still have pics from my first Coerthas visit when I was like, lv. 21).
It may not be a very large world, but go off the beaten path once in a while and just explore for the hell of it :)
It stops being a wondrous journey the fourth time through.
How many people actually care about any opening in the Elder Scrolls? If we had a skip button built in, we'd mash that sonuvadovakin so fast.
I rarely ever teleported on my first 1-50 playthrough. I enjoyed exploring too much.
First Alt? I don't understand how anyone could enjoy an MMO without something as useful as the Aethercytes. If 1.0 was running from one city-state to another on foot with vastly oversized, lifeless environments with no sprint or chocobo, then i understand why it was free for its lifetime and scrapped.
I just started a thread on that...but it's also what I've come to wonder...where is the world i can explore? It's just so small..i can run across the Sagoli desert in less then a minute really???
