Some Advice?~

The rotation is looking good, I'm glad to see the DoTs there. I'd have to really "see" you to see if maybe you're combos are slow, missing a cooldown, stuff like that. But all that aside, here's the thing though: if your ilvl is roughly 50-55 it's not uncommon for the kills to be slow, so, that's not really a problem. Not to mention those golems have decent HP. You're not supposed to be flooring them in a flash, nor should you be expected to, and the other DPS really should've helped out. But once you get overgeared you'll definitely be able to down those adds quickly. So no worries, you'll get it.

Ah okay. Glad to hear my rotation is not horrible 8D
The other DPS did not help because the tank ordered him to focus on boss only. Tank only occassionally helped by grabbing aggro at times but I was mostly left to my own. And yes my ilvl is 51 atm :x

The thing is, you don't have good gear yet so they're expecting too much from you. Every time I run AK, I quickly pick up and tank golems and the 2 DPS burn it down quickly; no matter how good their gear is. If they were smart, they would of recognized that their strategy wasn't working and adapted. It's not like this boss has some kind of time limit, either.

Another boss in AK this can apply to is Demon Wall. While it's possible to kill it before the gnats spawn with great gear, if I clearly see that we're nowhere close to winning after the second Repel, I'll tell them to kill them since otherwise the fight will likely be too chaotic. It's pointless to keep trying a particular strat if people lack the gear for it.

Eh well sadly I didn't know any better. I did what I was told. 3 wipes later tank said we lack DPS, voted abandon and it passed so we quit and I felt guilty for it :x
for all I knew that is what is suppose to be done for that boss. I was left on my own to DPS each one 100% of the time and off tank each one at the same time 75-85% ish of the time which meant our one healer was healing two tanks lol of course I used buffs and such to make it easier but I really don't like being any sort of tank while on a squishy character >.>

You shouldn't feel guilty about it, it wasn't your fault. Those golems have quite a bit of HP and hit reasonably hard, so the tank is to blame if he wasn't picking them up. Just don't be afraid to speak up if you think what you were told to do doesn't seem to be working. A dragoon's job is to do DPS, not to off-tank, and it really cuts into your ability to maximize your damage if you're unable to attack from the side or behind. The only time you might have to tank is on adds that do little damage and have low HP (like the gargoyles on the final boss in AK).

It's not likely you'll encounter that again. It is true that a DPS can solo an add, if they're overgeared, so it's possible that tank was just ignorant. Well, it's not possible, that's exactly what he was. Give it another shot and see how it goes.

But know that the Keep and the Palace tend to be inundated with people who want to "speed run." And though that's generally not possible in Duty Finder, you're still going to see it. There are some vids on YouTube that'll help you through a few fights though, so look those up to get the general idea. Once your DRG gets Darklight and beyond you'll see what that tank wanted you to do. You're just simply not there yet and that's fine.

Mmmk...whenever I try AK again I won't allow tank/whoever is telling tactics to make me off tank like that again. And yeah it was horrible. Their auto attacks are enough to really hurt lol cuz our tank really didn't put much effort into tanking them. An occasional single aggro skill that only held their attention for like 2 skills from before I was back to off-tanking and tank was back to just focusing on boss. And I don't mean to bash our tank or spread hatred because I don't. I just didn't know better and felt like it was my fault. Assumed he knew what to do since he was giving the orders lol

Well at the very least, watch AK because its second boss is a DPS check and has a Titan-esque "Get out of my playground" move you need to know about. :p

Your party was wrong. They asked you to do something you were not geared to do. People have their cute "geared" strategies and forget that newer 50's are simply unable to execute them. The other DPS could have just helped you kill the adds, and the tank can pick up the adds as well. In short, you are going to be a fine DPS because you are looking to improve. The group you were with, not so much. They couldn't see the forest for the trees. Not all strategies will work for all situations. Make sure you are executing the proper rotations to the best of your ability and the DPS will happen as you upgrade gear and master the class.

P.S. Mrhappy1227 and SheepheadCG have good dungeon tutorials on youtube. Generally they are very thorough.
