Buying love? the sad state of eorzean romance!

I'm rich and 40 lbs over weight. I'm glad love costs money.

Since the NPC will only accept "heterosexual chocolate" I shouted for a random female char to trade me.... Not even the bitter chocolate tastes this bitter.

Yeah, my partner plays a girl character as well, so hence it would be impossible for us to trade the items for this quest. And as I felt iffy about accepting such an item from a complete stranger, in the end I just bought it off the market board, which showed all too plainly how much of a gender imbalance there is in this game.

The pure heart chocolates were only selling for 2k each, where as the bitter heart ones (the type I needed) were at least 18k! (cheapest I saw it drop to was 16.5k, but it was snapped up before I could get it), meaning there were a few enterprising guys out there. ;)

My wife and I both play female kitty. Guess I will just have to get her something IRL.

So I have a male character and a female alt, can I just put the stuff in the FC chest after getting the chocolates to essentially trade with myself (seeing as people are selling them)? I haven't done any V-day stuff yet since I've got class, but I'm curious how this actually works now.

Mayhap I shall make a male a rake in the profits of Luuuuuuuuuuurve!

Lol yeah it does, doesn't it? Just trying to see if I can avoid some hassle and save gil (because I'm running low xD). University takes time from the game =p

Why do people want to make the V-day event something so dramatic? Its just code guys, it means nothing XD.
