Fenrir in FF14

Iirc you could see this and many more concept arts on the old teaser site. I believe it also came out in a live letter pre 2.0

The art and info has been released to the public for a long time but not much info has gone beyond the release of his art and confirmation of his appearance in FF14.

Def. a Primal, but the question is what kind of primal? How will he appear? It doesn't seem like it has any connection to a beast tribe. Fenrir at least in FFXI he is darkness. If he has any relation to FFXI elemental wheel, we could see Fenrir pop up at the end of the Main storyline.

Since Fenrir will most likely have no beast tribe to summon him, I consider Fenrir an Elder Primal. However, the battle will probably still be under the Trials tab in the DF.

I'm actually voting more for Elder Primal and the final boss or one of the 2 final boss for the Eorzea Arc of FF14ARR storyline before we move into places outside of Eorzea like Far East and Garlean Empire.

So far it seems they are splitting Eorzea Arc between 2.0 to 3.0 storyline. Which SE may have 1st Expansion open up the rest of Eorzea and having 2nd Expansion and beyond open up other Continents like the Garlean Empire and Far East.

They could have Fenrir appearance in FF14 like in FF11 where Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, Garuda, Leviathan, and Titan must be defeated first before he can appear and since these are the Primals of Eorzea we may see Fenrir in 3.0 if they have use defeat Ramuh and Shiva by the time 3.0 storyline hits making Fenrir the Final boss of 3.0 storyline.

hmmm you forgot Zodiarch in your primal list to be unleashed upon Eorzea. So if Fenris is added lore-wise in the storyline, it would somehow be connected to him

Primals that have HMs and EXmodes have a beast tribe. I think there needs to be the beast tribe before the primal imo.

Well i don't consider Zodiarch as a Primal because not much is know about him other than Ascians worship him and he creates Ascians through Dark Crystals.

However, Zodiarch could also be secretly Fenrir himself and the name Zodiarch is just a alias he is using.

As Starlord said Fenrir is known to be aligned to Darkness element and him being a Elder primal powerful enough to create Dark Crystals would fit with his Elder primal Status and Elder Primal level of power.

As much as I love Fenrir, just don't bastardize his awesomeness by making him an egi...unless he's super adorable and not abstract.

Zodiarch as seen in FFXII is merely a child subjuged by its own power and darkness. Though there could be some lore explanation about Fenrir pulling the strings, I personally think it would ruin the Primal.

If anything like that, I'd rather have some lore giving us the opportunity to free Zodiarch from Fenrir's influence and making him fight at our side :) THAT would be awesome

Only egi i can think of for Fenrir will be a cute puppy Fenrir unless they just make him keep most of his wolf like appearance and shrink his size to egi size.
