Beast tribe minions/mounts feel like a slap in the face.

Because it was so much fun in WoW to grind out limited dailies for months so that you could get that one item you needed, only to walk into the raid you now have the ilvl for and replace it on the first boss.
I am against rep grinds for gear. I love the idea behind XIV's daily rewards, its all vanity. Mounts, Pets, Dyes and materials. I don't need any of it, So I'm not doing them, except as some easy XP when leveling a new job. Unlike other games that force you to grind rep dailies for endgame gear.

...then when 2.2 goes live they will lower the price. It's probably gonna happen since they aren't going to expand on those tribe quests.

i wanna know what minions and mounts i will get in the next two daily tribes! i love them and the prices are just fine. :)

Prices are fine, 120k for a mount is not much. 120k period, is not much.

Nobody's asking you to acquire ALL FOUR OF THEM.

Honestly, just go for the one(s) that captivate you the most. When you (eventually) acquire more gil to toss down a well, then by all means purchase another.

There's no need to catch 'em all from the word "go".

Honestly, I'd rather spend real money than gil for vanity items. It's easier for me to make real money than it is for me to make gil.

I feel like they're setting a bad precedent with locking us out of vanity and casual features via pricing. And now we have to choose: "Hmm, do I want to get these cute vanity items, or do I want to continue saving gil for housing, you know, that other casual content that I can't see yet?"

But to catch them is his real test, there's plenty of time to train them to his cause.

Add up how much Gil you made from doing all the rep quests, and then subtract that from your amount you need to spend in the mount. Now you have your true cost value. Man I used to hate word problems when I was in school...as a matter of fact I dropped out because of them.

Buying the mounts/minions was more than half my gil. I was about to donate 200k to my FC for housing but now I'm even poorer than I already was.
