If I don't do dailies...

I would just like to know for sure if not doing dailies will prevent me from doing content in the future. I don't mind if other people like them. That's fine.

I like defeating primals, doing coil, and gathering so I will continue to play but if not doing the dailies will prevent me from doing anything I like to do in the future I would like to know now.

Sure getting access to the mounts and dyes would be nice but maybe they will add another way to get them later like NM or HNMs or loot from a coil turn 9 chest. Something more like Final Fantasy.

Does anyone have a link to the devs saying dailies are just useless filler and not going to be needed in the long run?

If they do start linking Dailies to Main Story required task then they most likely will remove the limit on the ones required for story progression.

For now just do what you seem fit for now.

Currently Dailies are just for lore and side-story purpose with a few extra gil and tomes as the reward.

You mean the same way it is with Ifrit now?

The main reward for the dailies is the mount and pet after you hit rank 4. If you don't care about the mount or pet then there is no need to do them.

daily give around 20k gil/day and that assume you are at the last tier with the beastmen and it take not much time to do it. If you are not a tanker you can always craft and gather while waitting for DFR to pop or when you do beastmen. If you have already cap tome and have no ue for philo tome & dont need anymore gil, just focus on finish beastmen and ignore the DFR

Eh, I'm not a fan of daily quests myself.
I feel as if they are a bit of a cop out... XD
I'm doing them for the minion, mount, and bits of lore.

this is why some of my friends quit the game, dailies are a nice way of devs saying "im f***ing retarded and cant think of ways to add more money in the game than with lack luster quests that you repeat everyday"

but much like some of the people said, as of now, only special items and normal mats, and unique mats from having a high enough mats (im guessing furniture since i havent checked on it)
but yes, devs need to find a better way to allow people to get money in this game other than stupid mind-numbingly boring repeated content

Like duty roulette, dungeon runs, HQ crafting leves and treasure hunting? Or are they too much repeatable?

I don't hate the dailies. They give me some money, some shards, some tomestones and my chocobo they give some exp.
The texts i need only to read once.

I really like the daily quests.

In the week, I only have a few hours a night to play, so it's nice to have something that's quick but still allows me to progress (tomes = darklight). You can get 42 tomes a day on the second tier (I think).

You're insulting the devs because they implemented an (optional) quest chain that takes literally 10-20 minutes to complete. They were never meant to supplant Bahamut as a quest point; they're just a distraction.
