I'll take that as an agreement.

What about the people who DO want the items off the first bosses? Screw them with longer queues because some entitled ass does not want to put forth the effort to help others?
I check off in-progress to help groups that lost people because selfish pricks bailed after they did not get their drop on a early boss. I have been seeing this more and more in the last month. After damned near every boss we have to wait a bit and replace 2-3 (or more) people that jump ship.
I would. I very much enjoy starting from the very beginning with a new set of ppl. ;o I find that dropping into an in-progress party where you're suddenly supposed to be acclimatised to the others and instantly be ready for whatever they were in the middle of, is a bit disconcerting. However, of course that's just my opinion on it. Basically I would never join an in-progress party. Doesn't it make you wonder why that party would be seeking a replacement? To the extent that, I wonder what was going wrong for a person (or more) to leave. ;x Yes, sure, ppl d/c or just log off with no warning whatsoever, but I find that to be rare. :< In comparison, I prefer getting to know my party members from the start. *shrug* That's just me. :-)
I wish there was an option to skip farming entirely and just have a get "Get loot" button.
It's not possible. All it would take is too many healers or tanks selecting In Progress Only and the DF system would cease to function. Forming new parties would be almost impossible, creating a paradox where people are only trying to join existing parties, yet existing parties can't be created.
You could say plenty of people would make new parties, but we've all experienced tanks fishing for new parties. It exists. It's real.
you do realize tanks spamming find in progress queues until they get the exact progress they want is really screwing up duty finder for a lot of people?
It's actually getting severe enough to a point where they may even need to lower the info to simply "party in progress" without saying how far and adding a penalty for not accepting
The reason is because the feature in question, is an option to increase your chances of getting a party. It's not a feature to get rewards for doing one fight whilst the rest of the group would possibly get nothing for doing the entire dungeon.
If you don't have that box checked, you will only get new parties.
Honestly what they need to do to stop this is not show progress, not show which roles have said they are ready (just the white icon as with an in progress option) and have a penalty much more severe than a 30 min lock out if they drop instantly.
