I don't mind, its hard enough to even get groups if your not in an FC or in a static.
This is the mainstream model that WoW has given us.
All your work will be for nothing every 6months. Please look forward to it.

This is pretty common for MMOs. New content is released, and it's either hard or gated. People grind as much as they can to get the best gear. In a few months, gear level is increased. All old gear becomes junk, and no one ever runs the old content. People complain for about a minute, then grind the new gear.
If you saw, FFXIV is also going to release a new tomestone, meaning that any tomestones you have built up or gear you grinded with the existing stones is going to be junk.
Also, as others said, FFXIV said it was planning to nerf older content over time.
MMO's = Constant Change.
The only thing about an MMO that wont change is that its constantly changing. =)
I welcome the removal of the weekly lockout. But don't be surprised when the next live letter when they say the new lockout is 72hrs. Even if there is no lockout players are going to cry about it. I know I hate doing coils every week and not getting a damn drop. Reason why I say there will still be some kind of lockout is that everyone will be able to spam coils and be ilvl90 in a week and that's fine, Cause unless your a new player most everyone should be ilvl80+ from Relic gear. So I don't think Yoshi is just going to let all gear pre ilvl90 become obsolete.
As for the Duty Finder that's great even if you don't win. Lots of time sitting around waiting for X job to join the Party Finder. If you don't want to use Duty Finder for CoB SE isn't forcing you to. People are still going to do statics/Premade Groups cause you need to beat T1-T5 each week to do T6-T9 from what I read. So you don't have to worry about that.
Actually this pleases me very much. The issue with lockouts were no one could help one another. If you did Turn One to Turn Three, then had friends or another group that had an issue with needing people, you could do nothing to help because of:
a) You did your run and couldn't go back to the turn they were on.
b) You hadn't done it yet so you couldn't help and get ahead of your group.
This will give people the ability to help people out without hurting their own group... plus the 4 new turns are still locked like 1-5 used to be. Anyway they might do something to coil, much like CT where if you do it though DF you can only get 1-2 pieces a week etc... we don't have all the info on it yet.
Spoiler: At some point the new ones will most likely be in DF too. XD
