This video was taken when SMN still had Thunder... that was even before the 2.1 nerf...
Anyway, this fight was easy to duo because...
1) Almost all of the mechanics for the entire party are avoidable, minus what the tank must eat. I'm pretty sure the SMN just ran and preemptively stood wherever they needed to be (especially for plumes) so they never had to adjust...
2) Casters only need to LB3 nails... that's it, no added damage needed.
I'm wondering if the SMN specifically slotted knowing they would need lots of physick power (possibly mind?), because it seems they are spending most of their time spamming that. Their vitality is pretty low, and their gear looks crafted... not even vanya gear either.
Anyway, I'm not entirely sure if this would be possible now as you can't reliably interrupt eruption, and dodging may cost the summoner precious time that would have otherwise been spent spam-healing the tank.
That said... gear is much better now. It's entirely possible that this could be EASIER (even without thunder).
You could argue that the first nerf (when 2.1 hit) was aimed at nerfing our damage in PvE... I mean, they took away thunder and gave us Blizzard II. Blizzard II is 'nice' but I would have rather had Thunder... The more recent 'nerf' to Miasma is clearly meant to nerf us in PvP.

A. He probably had all MND accessories equipped as well as all crafted with MND slotted to improve his heals. At i86 with Allagan Book, my Physick is 450~ with 650~ crits, putting on all Allagan/Hero Healing Accessories, Physick is 550~ and 850~ crits. That is with 30 points in MND since Ive been playing with SCH recently, so he has to have 30 points in MND, with all Healing Accessories, and MND slotted gear to heal that much.
B. All these people whining about nerf...I have never been out parsed on SMN, it's a beast. My BLM, BRD, and SMN are all i86, I play them all routinely, have done t5 and EX primals on all, my SMN exceeds my BRD and BLM in DPS on all with little effort, and as far as being just behind MNK..maybe if there was a single fight where they could have 100% uptime and never had to break DPS for a moment to move out of anything...but there isn't. I have never seen a Melee DPS come close to any of my ranged in any fight.

Yeah recent nerf was on healing reduction moves, ifrit doesn't use healing i think.

Yeah if you wanted to play SMN healer the only main piece i70+ you could use with MND is rose gold circlet. Rest would have to be i55's except accessories on the right side, unless you wanted to meld MND onto caster gear...
