Most would beg to differ on that bolded part, and for good reasons. Those same reasons would make it work just as well here as it did in FFXI, which is not very good at all.

They would need to completely revamp skill sets, implement cooldowns, and remove GCDs. 1v1s with the current system where your rotation is essentially set in stone on most classes would make for boring fights. Imagine a BLM v BLM matchup.

The only kind of PvP I want is dueling.

I dont care about grinding for rewards, and I don't care about fights with strangers.

I just want to be able to fight my friends for fun.
