What do you want to see in the Katagami (vanity) system?

What I thought when I read the title

If they give simple vanity slots, I'll be wearing gathering gear.
If they give transmutation/transmog, screw that; I'm not bothering with it.

Considering transmog costs were determined by the value of the gear in question, and gear in FFXIV vendors for a couple hundred Gil at the most, I don't see why this would be an issue.

What we do know is that there will be a quest chain or a fate to unlock it.

Mate, this is an MMO. These games are about customisation and variety. Are you really getting negative bot a system that promotes a more varied look, and the ability to tailor your avatar to your preference?

If you're so vanity free, how about you let me choose your clothes for you? Send me your ebay details and I'll pick out your real world 2014 wardrobe. No, don't tell me your size because that would vain of you to want fitting clothes wouldn't it?

Jeeze.

I'm hoping for an easy to use seperate vanity tab in my character sheet. Something I can change into and out of at will.

Totally SE's word. I would have just called it a vanity system.

Literally I think it means some sort of dying technique. Which has me raising an eyebrow.

Protip: WoW adopted the idea of a vanity system super late. LotRO had it on release, and I'm sure other MMOs had it before that,

Protip #2: 24 man CT is coming, and most likely the devs working on the different systems are part of different teams. Vanity is mostly the UI team, whereas 24man CT likely needs minimal UI work to be able to do what needs to be done.

The only thing DCUO did right was their vanity system, copy that. But add preset tabs.

From everything I know of it, it will sadly be like the WoW "transmog" system.....I was hoping for separate tabs/slots as well....
