Before Navel, you can pretty much stand in most area of effect attacks, and the healer could save you. I've seen too many people use that tactic, and then not realize Titan will one shot with those. You really have to get out of them as soon as possible, though lots of people seem to get hit with latency issues, and think they will be out, but still get hit.

Yeah, you want to be "in", but not on the line. You will take damage, but survive. If you are too close to the center, too much damage, over the line, knocked out.

One trick I read elsewhere on the forums to help with Landslide (and other avoidable AOEs) is to start an action as soon as you are out of the AOE. This forces your client to update your position on the server so you are less likely to get a "lag hit".

Honestly it sounds like the groups you are getting is the major issue... You need to either get an FC (free company)... Or start a party finder and see if some upper level people will join... That titan has no lag compared to the hm titan so if people are complaining about lag now its gonna get way worst for them... Personally practice make perfect so keep practicing and know rotations and where to move when the happen... Panning out is a must L1 Right analog on ps3 or page down on cpu... Other than that everything is up to execution if people cant dodge then your healer is going to get over worked and run out of mp... So make sure people know the rotations and get out of the way...

When I notice I have lag issues, I try to avoid his line aoe by running diagonally towards the center of the arena or toward titan, depending on where i'm currently standing. I've found that in helps so even if I get hit and knocked back, it pushes me to the edge but not off it.

Before you try and complete something I would always recommend doing research. Watch a youtube video on it, see how they complete it. There are also guides by Mr.Happy on youtube for every fight. Goodluck:)

I'm stalled at the same point, although I don't have as many attempts. For us, the jump up in the air attack we figured out pretty quick. What keeps nailing us is the directional AOE that knocks people off. I don't know if it's lag or what, but that's a killer. One time, we were down to one DPS and I thought he might just pull it off for us... but sadly no.

It's only lag if you are outside of the AoE area on your screen when it disappears and you still get hit.
That said: Landslide (the line attack that pushes you off) is pretty easy to avoid by sidestepping. And as someone already said: getting out of AoEs is top priority against titan, forget damage, forget healing, just get out of it.

This. Some groups make battles really hard.

The first time I did Titan and Garuda with the DF, we failed for the entire 90 minutes. With a different group, we beat him/her on the first attempt. It's quite a strange experience to be completely torn apart in one instance and have no trouble whatsoever in the next.

If you can, try to queue with an experienced tank. It makes a huge difference.

Killing Titan's Heart is a dps check... hit it as hard as you can, as quickly as you can. :) Titan in general though is a lag/latency check... if you (and ESPECIALLY if your whole party) has trouble with lag and disconnects, you will have a hard time with this fight. Like others have said:

Tumult - gonna hit everyone no matter what. Healers need to watch for this.
Titan jumps - run for the red ring around the edge. Stand just inside it.
Landslide - that airplane landing strip looking thing. It will push you off if you are caught by it. Run away immediately or run for the center of the platform if you think you may be hit by it. If you are hit by it, it will hurt.
Stone Gaol - Get them out of there. Watch for aoe.
Weight of the Land - Will show up under a couple people. Be psychic and run. You can take the hit from one, but not more than one.
After the heart is shattered, you WILL get hit. Hard. Healers be ready for it.

When in doubt, stop casting and move. When not casting, move. See aoe? Moving > casting.

It's all about movement. I pull the camera far back so I can see the entire field. I've tanked, healed and DPSd this fight. It's all about keeping an eye on what's under your feet and moving. Above all else, MOVE!

Also, I've found SCH extremely useful for this fight. If the SCH gets caught in Gaol, the faerie can still heal. Which is awesome. If a group needs a healer, I always go SCH over WHM.

I've done Titan twice now where one DPS has gotten knocked off early and we've finished the fight with just 3. If everyone can avoid landslide, the tank has enough defense to take a beating, and even 1 good DPS can not get knocked off, that's the recipe.
