There is a FFXIV windower that got shut down during beta. Still works flawlessly.

Oh am i gonna get banned because i like playing the game in fullscreen with the ability to alt tab?

There are already Programs out there that allow this sort of feature to happen specificly for xiv (Which still work even after all the patchs we've had!) so i dont think this is a uber burden on the workload altho mabey im wrong so i do wonder why it wasnt already included, mabey its just a japanese thing :x.~

POL Updates are actually what tended to create a need for Windower updates. For those that were concerned about the temptation of cheating they had Windower Lite which just did the windowing/graphics tweaking. I've used it for years and the game looks soooooo much better it's literally crazy not to use it.

For SE not to be able to program a simple borderless windowed mode is honestly shameful.

Also Cutriss you win an internets for your characters name choice :)

That just makes a Windowed Fullscreen, which is a good thing. BUT!

so it's a problem half-solved. If they want to resolve the thing, they have to consider a case with Fullscreen on.
That means: If I Fullscreen the sh*t out of my game with his native resolution ・ If I Fullscreen the sh*t out of my game at half the resolution.
I believe those are two different cases, because in one you have your native resolution without changes, and with the other you have to render the image to Fullscreen at half the resoultion, then switch back to your native one once ALT+TAB is been pressed.

I have used Shift Window from day one and have never needed to update it after FFXIV gets an update so it would be a sad day if SE do not have a programmer available to them to come up something similar that can force fullscreen while in windowed mode.

Okay, point taken: Shift Window doesn't break with updates. Not that they've done a whole lot of updates.

The FFXI windower rarely broke due to updates.

It was plugins breaking and those were easily disabled.

the reps said in a previous post they were going to work on it, also forcing fullscreen in windowed will not solve the problems playing in windowed mode have which are mainly SLI and crossfire only work in fullscreen.

No every update does not break the windower is still strong even with the update they had.

Reason why people use Windower for FFXI
1# 100x better then FFXI windower less lag and the tools for it did not hack the game. The only thing it did show you other tps which ffxiv been doing from day 1 at least showing you when they have full TP.

FFXIV 3 party windower:

You can go full screen which mean you can now use your crossfire video cards and still use alt/tab sorry but if SE can't do it and someone did then they need to fire everyone in the team and get new people again.
