Thanks for taking the time to post all of that. I found it very helpful. ^_^
Just a (probably dumb) question, though. On the macro for Resurrection that you mentioned, are you saying that you should use the Resurrection macro icon or are you actually supposed to have /macroicon "Resurrection" as part of the macro?
ie
/macroicon "Resurrection"
/ac "Resurrection" <t>
/p Resurrection → [<t>] <se.10>
So for that macro you would just put
/ac "Resurrection" <t>
/p Resurrection → [<t>] <se.10>
Also how do you make the arrow? Do you need the arrow?
Finally, are there other macros useful for summoner?
You can also use Potent Poisoning Potion with contagion. A nifty trick i often use on t5
Just to clarify, the reason we don't use Shadowflare is that it's too expensive and you will run OOM or be forced to Energy Drain on long encounters, especially if you have to re-summon or resurrect.
It's not worth the losing a high number of Festers.
I mean to include "/macroicon "Resurrection"" as part of the macro. This will change the actual icon to Resurrection's icon and show proper MP cost and GCD for it too.
You make the arrow by doing an alt code, it's ALT+26 (press and hold Alt, press 2 then 6, then release alt.) The arrow is not necessary, it's just what I use. You can put anything you'd like to let you party know that you're casting res in the macro after /p.
As for other macros [EDIT: Other than Eye for an Eye], not particularly. I don't run macros [other than eye for an eye] with my SMN personally.
Because of how offset our ability's CDs are from each other and the fact that sometimes you do want to save certain things like Rouse and Spur during Turn 4 for a specific phase or cast your DoTs in a different order (turn 5 dreadknights you want to lead with miasma, whereas I usually lead with Bio II in any other encounter) I find it most efficient for me personally to manually use each ability instead of macroing them.
Really nice guide and thank you for your hard work!
I tried to Macro
/macroicon "Enkidle"
/ac "Rouse"
/ac "Spur"
/ac "Enkidle" <t>
It works for Rouse and Spur but it says the command for Enkidle is not used correctly, any idea why?
EDIT: Okay the problem was that I was missing the second N!
Well if you wrote it like that then I can tell you at least that the ability is called Enkindle and not Enkidle
