That's how 50 Shades of Grey happened. It was originally Twilight fan fiction.

I know in Japan there is more leeway with this sort of thing, and doujinshi using characters. Most companies consider fan works okay, but a lot of those use the money gained to keep making more, and have little profit. In America, it's a lot less open, you will probably get a cease and desist order, and if you keep going, then you will get sued.

They can sue you but won't until it becomes popular. The same thing happened with a game called STALKER. A fanfic got really popular and was being sold on amazon. The author was sued, but it wasn't serious. He was simply asked to stop or change the content.

If you make any money off it there will be lawyers up your behind. If you distribute it for free they probably won't care.

Making money off of the intellectual property of others is a violation of copyright laws, punishable by prison time and hefty fines in some cases. Fanfic is a bit of a gray area. Most people tolerate it if the writer is not making money off of their ideas, though it is still, technically, illegal as well. My suggestion, if you want to sell it on amazon, would be to take your fanfic, and remove every reference to anything owned by someone else, and replace it with a world of your own making. That way you CAN sell it, because it is YOUR creation.

First off don't have an asking price sell it for free. Second put a disclaimer saying that you only own the original characters and story and SE owns the rest. This is what a lot of fan fictions do and they don't get sued. In fact if you write a good enough plot SE might want to use it for a game.

No lol, sorry. There isnt any girl on girl action unfortunately. Its more actiony and character driven.

You wont be sued but you will get a C&D trademark violation. Also if you ask they will give you a generic no as they wont read anything other than "can i use xiv-NO NO N"O NONO
