I prefer dungeons. I would much rather go with friends, but that doesn't work out very often. When I am queuing for a dungeon that takes a while to get into on, I'll do FATEs and hunting logs, but I find dungeons are an easier place for me to experiment with abilities and rotations (currently working on MNK). If I'm also busy with other things around my house or projects, I'll just do FATEs, because I can just walk away from those.
I am very much enjoying Roulette. Sadly though, when I use roulette low level I only ever get the first 3 dungeons. I hope some day, it might give me Ifrit or something different. I got Haukke *once*. I use my low level Roulette on my MNK when I'm capped on myth for the week. The exp boost is so nice.

Natalan wolf camp.
oh, in ARR?
No idea....

Helping out members of my FC on their subclasses. XD. Hunting logs and just grinding mobs in general works pretty well in a party. Or running dungeons with newer FC members. It's even better now with the increased dungeon XP.

As of now, Dungeons are the way to go. Once you reach 43, use the dailies for a slight boost. Leves are best spent on Gathering and Crafting.
-
Since Duty Roulette is only once a day I try to level my sub a level per day. I never thought I would miss fate grinding but getting from 45 to 50 in 5-6 hours was a min/max's dream. Boring as hell, yes, but effective nonetheless

First, dungeons.
Between them, quests.
When no quest, Hunting Log.
After enduring about 10 lvls earned through endgame FATEs, I became so disgusted with them (which I already knew where badly done) that I never ever touched one, except when compulsory for events or when happening while I was passing by. Even then, just the minimum to get credit and bye bye, most of the time.

Mix it up.
Some quests, some FATE content, some Leve's. Mob farming toward the end of a level or if I just want to spirit bond and multi task.
-
I conserve leves for leveling crafting classes, where if I have a sufficient amount of them (>80) I can get one from lv1 to lv50 within a couple of days (though usually burning >200k gil in the process).
For combat subclasses I run the occasional dungeon and roulette, else I find somewhere I can grind without worrying so much about competition, while being able to farm mats that I either need for crafting or can sell for a reasonable amount of gil on the market board.

I don't really find chain-dungeon fast/fun.. So it's FATE all day for me !
Gets a bit boring after a while, not gonna lie, but the EXP can be so huge you put some good music and forget about it :o
