Gilgamesh has had 4-7 rotating listings in the party finder every time I've checked over the last few nights. Coil, CT, PvP, relic fights, primals, tome farming, treasure hunts, fate parties, a couple that were just FC recruitment. Got into a "newcomers welcome/until we complete our duty" chimera fight last night.
It's also nice to be able to just /fc Hey, check PF for such-and-such if you need it, group forming. Easier than trying to get all the right people together over tells.
I would agree with OP if I could use DF at the same time as creating a party in PF.
Maybe I should try again using PF? No later than last week, I found almost no parties in there, and decided to create my own, maybe some players will join me? If they don't I'll just go alone in DF, but it's worth a try, just in case.
But then I couldn't use DF.
So I either had to wait possibly hours, possibly forever to get players on my server, or just solo queue DF. I chose DF, because I was certain to enter faster while getting players through PF was a big unknown, even though I'd rather have gone with a group of like-minded players to chain runs together.
DF should be available to people using PF as long as they are alone (the game already un-queues you when you form a party the normal way anyways).
As a DPS and healer, If I am not queueing it means I am in an instance already. I never "waste" time not queueing.
It's too bad we are prevented from doing things while queueing in DF (no PF, no chocobo...)
