No, I will not return to XI. I'm not going to explain why or go into the details of why I left, my reasons are not up for discussion or debate, but I can say right now I am never going back.

FFXI's population before abysea was around 400k... 6 months after abysea around 190k. I think that very well speaks for itself. SE tried to make it better for the casuals and in turn destroyed the very thing that was holding the population on the game together for years and years.
Atm FFXI is beyond repair, they would have to roll the servers back to last June to get alot of the players back... but then all the current players will quit for having a years progress removed.... All in all they screwed themselves with XI, they designed it so it would die out for FFXIV.... well they better hope they pull XIV around or both their FF mmos are going to die out. -

I left FFXI for FFXIV and I don't regret it... will I return? No... it's not the same game, it's not the same feel and many of my friends who continued to play it after I left ended up leaving because abyssea ruined it.
FFXI is not the game I played that I loved. Gonna stick with FFXIV for now, at least it has a possible future. -
