Not much love for WRPGS I see.
Considering virtually every JRPG known to man has been mentioned in this thread so far I'd like to make a special shoutout to one of the best WRPGS, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. So many fond memories of that gem.

Morrowind
Oblivion
Baldur's Gate Series
Neverwinter Nights Series
Planescape Torment
FF1
FF2
FF8
FF9
FF10
Xenosaga
Dungeon Siege
Diablo series
And another dozen RPGs, western and Japanese, that I can't name right now.
I have another dozen WRPGs to get through from Steam sales, but I don't have the time I used to when I was in highschool and college.
As for MMOs:
WOW
Aion
RIFT
FFXI
FFXIV
Dragonica
Runescape
Neopets (hey, it counts!)
Way too many.
Earthbound is the second game in a series called Mother, it is called Mother 2 in Japan. Mother(1) was a Famicom title that was to be released in the west but never saw the light of day except in the form of 4 prototype cartridges. Mother 3 ; ; is a Gameboy advance title, it was once known as Earthbound 64. The game was moved to GBA after a long hard fight and a failed Nintendo 64 Disk Drive add on for the N64. The game wasnt released until 2006 on GBA and has never made it to the west despite having a cult following thanks to Earthbound and the smash bros. franchise. Only roms or imports can be used to play Mother 1 and 3.
for me best rpg game was xenogears. it was so much better than all ff series put together
best mmorpg was ff11. had so much fun with chain system. i also liked lineage 2 (pvp drama)
