[Suggestion] replaying storyline quests and playing the questline from other cities

I agree with max, you can already see the "opening" scene in the main menu why not expand on that

Justification is pretty easy:

There's already an ingame story ability used for appearing in the past. From the dialogue, it seems like interactions are possible and it wouldn't conflict, since whatever's done isn't carried over.

Just use the Echo.

yeah the goblin footprint system was rather inconvenient.

I agree with this proposition 100%. I was almost reluctant to create a forum post myself.

Allow players to replay all of the previously completed Main Story/Class Quests at any time by talking to a certain NPC in any given city.

Also, at the main menu when booting up the game. They should add a movie viewer for all the previously unlocked cutscenes in the games story and class quests.

Furthermore, I guarantee by the time we get more main story quests we all might forget about most of the characters in the story and important plot points by then. Unless of course your one of the few who have been recording all the scenes personally. it lends to us getting all the missions and scenes to replay again to catch up with where we last left off when new content is added.

Of course, after completing the quests the first time you can no longer earn sp, gil or any type of reward for completing them. They'll just be purely for enjoyment of the lore.

Yeah just use the echo to explain it.

Was about to post a thread on this myself, and found this one to bump instead. I'd love to have a way to review past cutscenes and events in games- especially if your character appears in their current gear. And most especially for the ones that I've missed recording due to FRAPS deciding it didn't feel like cooperating.

I wouldn't mind it being from a menu or some sort of echo ability with a cooldown, or even the wandering bards that would charge you for the service in XI as long as its there.

I've seen a number of people put up all the main scenario quests and cutscenes on Youtube, so watching them again for content reminder's sake isn't an issue for me.

But what I WOULD like is to be able to get copies of the footage in high quality. Does anyone know where I might find such higher quality videos?

I'd like some way to replay cutscenes and animations for quests that were previously completed. Your character could be placed into the cutscene with the gear he or she currently has equipped.

There have been so many cutscenes where I noticed something that caught my eye and I really wanted to take a screenshot or video of it but it went by too fast for me to get a chance to.

I was thinking about this last night as I redid the R46 mission with a friend and wanted to record the super awesome cutscene but once we finished the battle I was teleported back to the camp while my friend got to watch the cutscene ; ;
