I had a lot of fun. It makes me sad that 2.2 will bring more of Coil and its "Turns" (which are only trials in disguise) instead of CT.
Everything about CT screams Final Fantasy... Acheron being the main offender. While Coil, after the first turn everything goes downhill. That T2 still makes me facepalm.
It's just new lore in coil. It's meant to eventually lead into Bahamut's Labyrinth which I hope will be 24 man content.
In theory we haven't actually entered the tower yet. just the Maze that Surrounds the Tower.

The tower itself is 7 floors long, I cant wait for SE to add more to this, and I hope the content gets harder as we travel upwards.Quote:
After obtaining the four fangs, the Warriors of Light cross the Ancients' Maze and reach the Crystal Tower in order to confront Xande.
CT is outstanding.
I have to say I myself was quite impressed by how much fun it was. The first group I ran was pretty bad. We ended up running out of time @ Behemoth. The second run however, we didn't wipe once. Everyone did extremely well had a lot of fun and it was amazing. It honestly was not what I expected. I really expected it to be FATEs in a dungeon with little to no mechanics.
Yeah I was expecting it to be pretty faceroll but with the low ilvl requirement the fights are still challenging because half the alliance isn't in i90 gear. Even with a fully geared group it would be like doing a fun mid-level dungeon though.
Coil is basically just a bunch of Guildhests chained together with no duty finder attachment.
The gear is i80, but make no mistake, this is Final Fantasy XIVs first true endgame dungeon.
