I realize this isn't really related to the topic at hand, but it has a similar issue: the English tooltip is incorrect. It does not reduce an enemy's elemental resistance; it reduces their magic resistance.

So that means foe is completely useless for bard too? lmfao wow

always have been useless for bard, only Casters benefit from it.

I haven't been in a party where the bard actually "supported" the group. EVERY bard has been like "OMG I DOO LEET DAMAGE AND WHO CARES IF MAGES HAVE MP OR MELEE HAVE TP! I'M SELFISH AND ONLY CARE ABOUT MYSELF! DAMAGE AOE SPAM!!! #epeen" I HATE bards... bunch of A-Holes... ALL of them.. I've never had a useful one in a party ever, not even in my own FC.

To be fair you can't actually see your party's TP meters. Requiem with a blm/smn in a group is really nice though if you're not anticipating MP issues.

We can't see TP on party members. If we could, we'd be using the TP song more often. We can only see MP, and the only person where the MP really matters on is the WHM, because 1) most battles go fast enough to where the tanks either run out of MP at the battle's end, or about to, 2) every MP using class OTHER than the WHM has a constant source of MP regen, and 3) Flash, which is a tank's MP using aggro gain, isn't used in most boss fights. It doesn't help that the songs DROP our DPS by 20%, which is the only thing preventing us from keeping those on all the time. If the TP song or MP song didn't have that damage output reduction on us, you'd probably see us spamming the songs constantly. Other than those songs and the pre-patch RoD, we have no support for the party, AT ALL. If we could use healing spells or buffs on the party, you'd see more of it, but alas, this ain't 1.0 Bard.

Bam you just proved my point. I guess I'll just tank without Defiance or Shield Oath and be like "brah, my dps brah.." while everyone in the group is "/fc dude this tank doesn't know how to do his job and is only interested in dps. What a jerk!"

That's what everyone says about bards. Well enjoy your f***ing nerf you might as well make yourselves useful since you aren't going to be of any use dps wise. #BardSucks

English tooltip for Foe Requiem is wrong. The Japanese tooltip is correct, and that it decreases magic resistances by 10%. This effects all magic spells not specifically elemental damage.
