Game constantly crashing after patch 2.1

I'm getting disconnected (90000 error) whenever I do any dungeon, and it is constant & consistent. It is game breaking to have the tank disappear ever 20 seconds.

If this is not fixed within the next 10 days, I will cancel my subscription renewal. I will have to, I can't layout money for something I know is broken.

For myself, the issue is very much alike!

I got pretty much the same specs, guess Geforce Card made by MSI though, same RAM, Windows 8.1 ...
Dunno if it is a compatibility- or stability-issue related to Windows 8.1, or if it's about the game, or about the Drivers NVidia offers at the Moment.

One Thing though is for sure: it is a Problem that for me only, and really only Encounters with Final Fantasy. I never ever got any Crash before, and not in all those different manners. So it is relatively complicated, and i really do not know how to fix it.

Please SE, help us!

This issue may be a DirectX related issue, as the faulting modules i see when the game crashes are the following:


Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxiv.exe

I'm having the issue as well, random freezing of the game and windows which needs a hard reset. Tried searching a bit on this issue with DirectX but no luck...

I am currently having the same issue but its only when running the new dungeons the 2 hard modes and the new lvl 50 one as im loading in I crash out and cant get back in til I'm booted from the dungeon

Im having problem every since the patch as well only i can get into the game play for 15 to 20 mins then my computer shuts off completely and i have to turn it back on. its only when i play ff and only since the patch.

I am currently noticing that the game content is only in the high lvl zones with the fates for crystal tower and the new dungeons not trials as I'm going to load in I just crash

Mine just does a lobby crash, error 2002 on both pc & ps3

I have the same problem. My computer completly close after 10-15 minutes of play every time. It only does that since the 2.1 patch and all other games are working properly...

I'm having the same issue with the PC version. I just patched to 2.1 today, started the quest chain for crystal tower, teleported to Alesport, was exiting the save area, then boom. Game crashed. I tried to log in afterwards, and the game kept crashing during the loading screen. I could hear the sound fx as if I was in game, but still at the loading the screen. The sound would then cut off, and come back on periodically like it was still trying, but still stuck at the loading screen. I had to completely close out of the program multiple times before finally it seems to let me in.


Update, it let me in, but as soon as I moved the camera around, it crashed. It's a bit infuriating to be honest. The game has never crashed before this patch. At this point, the game is unplayable for me.
