Disappointed in sustain change

It's not a buff per say. IE. for a SCH, the fairy would just heal up the HP loss without any MP needed. So it was kind of a free trade-off. Not it actually costs something for SCH. As someone else said, I think it's harsher for SMN than for a SCH. I still don't think it's an issue though.

the only reason i dont like the change is not because it will suddenly hurt our mp, but that it seemed to go best giving your life to sustain your pet as a summoner. When I heard mp I was a little turned off simply because of this change. I would have preferred it took more life than to change to mp.

How's that? Were folks using sustain to fill up LB out of combat via sustain, then self healing? Did that generate limit? Or was it an in-combat "this phase is easy so let's intentionally hurt ourselves to build limit via healing the damage"-type thing?

I like the new sustain actually for pvp. I run with 4.8k buffed hp, losing 10% to heal pet would suck. I'd rather spend mana since i don't have any problems with that..

FFXIV is a PvE game that they decided to tack on a PvP element. Don't ruin the main part for an addition.

Eos eats medica II and Succor just like every1 else in titan, and only takes like 300 dmg from plumes, i've never had eos die in titan. As for AV your
better off letting your pet die and resummoning her then wasting that many GCDs trying to keep her up. Also physic heals for ~100 less then sustain on my i87 SCH. (with a 5k hp fairy mind you, Rose gold ftw) Why would i take the extra mp hit (or hp hit) for that tiny amount of hp on my fairy. Only time i've ever, and i mean ever used sustain is in pvp and that's only if im being chased while someone is focusing eos.

Think I used it during a SCH quest at some point because I let Eos tank everything.

But yeah during Titan HM I rarely place my fairy and when I succor she gets healed up anyway.

I find myself still using it anyways, whether out of habit or efficiency I'm not sure. Sustain's quick cast leaves a lot of time before the next GCD is up for a lustrate or some other such skill off GCD, which I suppose redeems it from dipping slightly into my mp
