Fanfare was spammed in the zone during one of the beta phases because leveling up was that much faster.

No item sorting.

White player dots all over the minimap and you were fighting to get a non leve mob for exp.

Players were in La Noscea and The Black Shroud.

Behests were free for all fights. At least people resolved to group up now.

Remember when they said the copy pasted terrain was due to large file sizes when it was actually laziness? :D

If anything, FFXIV is too MUCH like FFXI.

I remember when there was only limsa. I remember when when we were so excited to get a few minutes of play time before the server crashed and this weeks play time was over. I remember when 30 was the cap. I remember a time before fishing existed. I remember when I thought they were going to make the game semi retail ready before retail.

Or when they said FFXIV would be more like FFVI?
