They don't even stop botters so why would they stop us? The people still playing on their own volition.

Lol I have no idea how it is faring. The dev team is even slower than SE so I wouldn't suspect much has changed.

That bums me out to hear that. I was told that their vision for the game was for it to be like old-school Ultima Online with an Oblivion interface. That seemed like the almost perfect idea for me.

i think that only applies if real world currency is being used.

you don't see people's levels in a party unless your near do you?
I could just switch to 50mrd when running, and back to a rank 9 fisher at each camp, and no one would notice.

You should be able to see if they have any buffs going on still?

There was gambling tables in XI, people ran shout casinos for ever, and there is chocobo racing. I highly doubt GM will stop anything which involves fake money. Only country I see with rules that strict would be china's internet laws.

On topic, I am in agreement with this little race deal, there are the kind of player events that I feel SE was saying they wanted to see the community do awhile back. If done right it will be a neat event.

I talked with my linkshell we will probably have a few members who will be joining it, biggest concern my people have is what is stopping people from say having Archer's flee ability equipped and using it between points where there will not be event staff, or having say a deciple of land ability to avoid agro from a mob. Some people tend to be douches especially when a large gil reward is at hand.

P.S. Enjoy your death race. Love the event name. People who attempt to cheat the event aren't worth thought. Just b-list them and "keep on truckin'" as they say (they being truckers I assume).
