Two star food fix?

I'm one Allagan Ring of Fending short of all iLevel 90 on my Paladin, and taking that ring into account, if I were to make the switch to crafting HQ Finger Sandwiches, I would still lose 1 Parry, gain about 1.5 Vitality, and 1 Accuracy. Granted, my level 90 pieces are not the agreed upon "optimal setup", as I took what I could get, but even then, we're looking at +1 stat increases.

In exchange for that minor increase, I would need to drain 1 Fire Cluster and Water Cluster for each synth. Look at Armorer, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Weaver, Goldsmith, and Leatherworker, and tell me the stat increases on their zero star to two star items are that insignificant. I'm pretty sure all the Culinarians are asking for is fair treatment. There is simply no reason to use my 2 star food at the moment, because the increase is so terribly negligible.

Now we are talking about what is more useful. coil gear, CT and DL: toast > Finger. Patch 2.2 (gear ilevel 95-100) finger > toast

How do you know before any of the gear is actually announced, that it's going to be enough of a stat boost to actually achieve the max percentages (or even enough to give more than 1 more point in any of those stats). I'm not sure if you noticed, but in full ilvl 90 gear he gained a whooping 1 point in two of the stats. So if we go along current gear progression, and assume they aren't going to have that major of a stat boost, then ilvl 95-100 gear really isn't going to net that much better stuff.

Also, who says that crafting stuff can't be improved when new content and gear is released? We have no information on 2.2 yet. There could be entirely new foods and recipes added (along with new gear since ilvl 90 will no longer be top tier).

Hoplite: 8 vit - 8 parry
DL : 10 vit - 12 parry
ilvl80: 12 vit - 14 parry ???
allagan: 15 vit - 16 parry
ilvl100: 18 vit - 18 parry ???

You get 2 vit per jewlery, 10 vit set complete.
Gloves 2 vit more.
Belt 3 points
chest and head, boots and legs around 20-30 points more
Weapons and shield 6 - 8 vit

Full ilvl 90 will give you around 50 vit more.
Using toast = 14 vit capped.
Using Sandwich 16 vit

Tuesday i will test one thing.
Atm, Finger sandwich give me 14 vit. I use a mega potion +50 vit. Finger sandwich would give me 16 (2 more vit) or still 14 vit.

Alright, so assuming they don't give anymore crafting recipes ever for gear increases. You're saying that the 2 more vit is totally worth the cost of water/fire clusters and the timed food gathering? That's of course assuming you are decked out in full ilvl 100 gear, which means once again, you've already cleared all content you'd need the food for. Sorry but I disagree.

I am also more inclined to -only- go with what is out currently. They could just as easily release other gathering nodes and foods that would render the fingers still useless.

If they don't make the % bonus on the finger sandwich the same as la noscea toast, then it won't really be useful until we're progressing on turn 11 of coil in patch 2.5 sometime in the middle of next year.

Sounds like an oversight and kind of silly to me...
