I have always heard that song play when I zone into Central Thalanan from Ul'Dah during the day as I recall. It takes a bit for it to start, perhaps 30 seconds to a minute after zoning.

I have always heard that song play when I zone into Central Thalanan from Ul'Dah during the day as I recall. It takes a bit for it to start, perhaps 30 seconds to a minute after zoning.
That piece of music plays in the Thanalan zones both at dawn (8:00 AM Eorzea Time), and the first time you zone into the area during the day.
Posting for confirmation. I sat my character over night in Central Thalanan and as soon as the clock hit 6:00 AM Eorzean time, it played, followed by the day theme. It probably plays in all Thalanan zones surrounding Ul'dah, possibly Southern Thalanan as well. I don't think I have ever heard it play in Northern Thalanan.
