Its a double edge sword, drop the restrictions people get geared out in a week or two then complain about the gaming having nothing to do. Shut up already.

Because if you rotate content in ARR you still get restrictions. "Hey let's go farm up CT....oh loot restrictions..ok." ... "Hey let's go treasu...restrictions too..?" ... "Let's do roul....wait what?" ... "Let's do coil......seri...seriously?"

Please tell me you don't believe leveling is also content :\ Content rotation in ARR has one too many lockouts, but it is due to a lack of content so it's to be expected.

Seeing people with the Allagan Tunic of Healing makes me mad. If only I could run T4 until I got it, but I have to rely on luck.

I can see it... February, T4 being a weekly chore that I'm sick of doing as healer, but still doing it hoping that it will drop. I don't usually play thinking about loot first, but that's the only item I want in the whole game. Not being able to have it thanks to lockouts (not even difficulty, as I found Titan much harder) is demotivating enough for me consider quitting.

I used to mock hardcores about how they speedrun Coil and turns it into a triviality by requiring high gear and "experience", but now I understand.

Don't you join DF for roulette solo? And it is only 1 each day, not 1 each week.

Every MMO has restrictions, especially in the early years. Those restrictions usually get lifted / eased over time too. If you don't like restrictions go play a sandbox game like minecraft or terraria.

BTW, you forgot the most annoying one (to me): Posting restrictions :p

While that's true, the restrictions presented in ARR are a bit insane. 1 Treasure map every 18 hours and 1 loot per week in Crystal Tower are a bit over the top. The extreme primal restriction, beastmen daily quests, and coils restriction are fine and make sense, however.
