a gun?!!

They're fighting the guy with the gun unfortunately. You can see a PLD, BLM, DRG, and WHM at some points of the video.

Regardless, the fact that there are combat animations for a gun is a good sign, no?

Well in the story they let you know that pure-blooded Garleans are inept with Magic, hence as to why they use Magitek. And the Allagans were a highly magical inclined society.

Nice theory though but if true they'd have to be outcasts or something far descendants more like 3rd cousins twice removed.

You already fought guys with bazooka fists, gunblades, and blue fiery swords...and you're all freaking out about fighting a guy with a gun?

Means nothing. We won't get to equip that until Musketeer comes out eventually.

Pretty much, sure it's enemies but the Succubus showcased "Void Thunder 3" before we had access to THM. Many "human" NPCs use abilities that classes have such as Lamb of Dalamud Roegs using Overpower (Marauder ability). So really it's a good sign, especially considering it's a Musketeer using it (he's clearly tempered/under Siren's control).
