Suggestion New RACE

I love vieras, but then that would start the "We want male vieras!" thing.
Which would be annoying. Plus Viera are from Ivalice. Which I assume is in a completely different universe.

dont have to consider it a different universe. these are same races that were in ffXI just changed named, took galka tail away, made lalafells taller, added a new human character, and made night and day species

Well, they ARE children. That itself is pretty different from any of the other races. (The only comparison is Lalafell, and they look nothing like Hyur children.) Though yea, I agree that they should have unique options from the Hyur in regards to hair styles, skin tones perhaps, and even an option regarding horn size\shape would be nice.

i saw your post in the general section and does not pertain to my suggestion :/

also when a forum mod gets on can they move thread to appropriate forum thread as i did nto see oen that said anything for in-game suggestions.

The problem with added a new race is how would SE do it? this is not wow where you level up many class on other race. In ffxi and in FFXIV the game is lock by storyline and lock by your race the person you are is the person the game get to know you as. If your a elvaan in ffxi and switch from monk to Red mage you still this person/ race. If they do add new race it should only be the female and male version of the race we have today. Allow us to switch race for free for a limit time only for players who been playing the game 1before from this update.

In other MMOs where you play different classes on a new character I would see this as viable. I just don't see them adding new races to a game where the majority play there jobs on one character.

This should have been added from the Start. Goblins, Bagamen, Bunny Girls.

But we shall see.

Sometime in the future when things are running well for FFXIV, I would very much like to see new races (Moogles, Umaro) and an option to recreate one's visual character while maintaining stats and exp. My idea for this is to have a very elaborate quest (to keep people from changing frequently) concluding in something along the lines of a 'magic lake at the top of a mountain' which one can bathe in and come out reborn.
