Also heard apple and google in the mix. ,but there looking to partner with a console or control one those companies if it all works out. Just a rumor, but this console war and with steam on entire planet now. There all working to get there games on there networks and control on some exclusives or make head weight. There slim chance that some of japanese companies join forces and try move on , but heard it iffy since there so far behind of the consumers and rest of the world now. No source yet was at a drunken seahawk game when they played the saints and over heard some microsoft people joking around and talking about it. PerfectWorld is a company known for its Free2Play titles and that's all it does.

Electronic Art Games (EA Games) has recently declared that all his current games contains micro-transactions and is solely responsible for SWTOR turn on Free2Play, thus preventing the game from receiving new content for 6 months to implement Free2Play as quickly as possible.

Microsoft Games has little to no respect to any gamer that doesn't follow their own point of view and play their games the way they want it played. They also impose a subscription to XBOX live to play online (that means to play FFXIV:ARR, you need XBOX live subscription and FFXIV:ARR subscription). PS4, for instance only impose PS+ subscriptions for games using Sony's servers, which means FFXIV:ARR will not require PS+ to play.

Activision is known for publishing incomplete games full price, only to sell expansions full price until the game is complete and then release another game.


I don't see any of them being beneficial to FFXIV:ARR on the short term. Most of them will only develop FFXIV:ARR if it makes a huge profit and will turn the game into a money grabbing thing at every corner.
