Warrior speed run of WP

Very impressive, god I love my class.

So inspiring!

I still need better gear for my war. Last speed run I tried was miserable fail lol

What does your gearing look like? Your lodestone in the BRD atm. DL chest, af+1 gloves, boots, and allagan legs from what is visible?

I'm a Whm and a PLD.

Ran a few WP's with one of my FC Warrior tanks. It was a freakin blast. I'm pretty good at DPSing to speed things up but he threw me a curve ball on last boss.

He's like, Focus DPS on boss. Gith's got the adds. i'm like..um..wait what? Both Dps were like...seriously the healer will deal with the adds.

F*it, i'm down lets do this. We Raaaaapppeeeddd that boss holy hell. I think we had one Ohhh SHH moment when he hit 84 hp after a grudget, Benediction and back to DPSing. Warriors are definitely fun to heal (as long as they have some gear cause god they get their butts wipped early on).

I just hit 50 PLD yesterday and after 8 WPs I must say WAR is 100x more fun to play for dungeon content.

Honestly I think WAR can do WP SR faster than PLD cause they do alot more AOE DPS, PLD only offers more survivability. But if you want to do WP faster you will have to replace your SCH with a WHM (or tell your SCH to level his WHM). There is this one WHM I know that can pull about 600 to 1000 DPS just from Holy Spamming, SCH can't really DPS when they are healing a Speed Run. Holy provides great DPS along with that AOE stun.

Id like to thank everybody for staying constructive. However I really still would like to see an extremely geared group do this with a Warrior. Sure when you put me in a video under a microscope, anybody can make mistakes. But im more interested in if there are warriors able to pull more packs using a different method. Mainly the first room. I cant find anything under 12 minutes on youtube but I know there must be people that can do it faster than me with a warrior.

Threat didnt seem to be a issue for you even with your BLM spamming Flare. So use Steel Cyclone when you can. What I like to do for all group after first boss is pop Foresight, Convalescene, Feather Foot Right before I gather them together. Overpower 2x > Prepped Wrath Steel Cyclone > Infuriate > Steel Cyclone > Vengeance> Overpower > BBcombo > Overpower > BBcombo> Steel Cyclone. If your party is doing it right, the mobs should be dead b4 you get to your 3rd Steel Cyclone, which could use for the next fight.

Also I dont think i saw you use Bloodbath which works very well with Overpower and Steel Cyclone. The HP recovered might seem minor but it can recover 300-600+ hp per Overpower/SteelCyclone because of mob mutiplier.

From a math standpoint, using BBcombo's is a dps loss, even if theres only 2 or 3 targets to hit with overpower especially since TP is not an issue. Which would result in a speed decrease. And theres no way to prep wrath when your moving this fast outside of infuriate. The dps is relentless and they start right away. You wont hold threat on a geared BLM who is doing triple flares on 6-10 targets if your throwing BB combos. And wrath is not going to last from one pull to the next, mainly because flash is used to get snap agro on every group of enemies.

You are however correct that I never use Bloodbath. One of my many flaws, I find it so useless in every other aspect of the game that it hardly ever crosses my mind. I will try to use it more often. A valid point.

I do love the threat and I should use bloodbath more often, heh. One thing I would like to point out here is that we do not use mana song because we don't have a paladin/whm. We use TP song and the occasional speed song instead. So my mana is very very limited, I actually need to store it up between pulls so that I have enough to make it to the end of the first hallway without losing threat to Eos or adloquiem. You can see me doing this on the way to the first door. If I flashed even once more on the first pack I wouldn't have enough mana to grab everything properly in the second pull.

Rofl, another valid point. I cringe when I do it, but I suppose my only counter point is that most pulls last less than 30 seconds when your going this fast and by the time im on the next one, they are up again or its a boss and I wont need it. Besides my healer needs all the help he can get from me! I mean im not a paladin after all!

Although it hardly matters how you choose to kill them. A neat thing about warrior tanks is we can actually kill our own adds in about 10 seconds with just vengeance. A bard flaming arrow at the right time can take out another wave in about 10-15 seconds. Which allows you to focus entirely on single target dps for the entire fight.

I don't think warrior can do a SR faster, the current record is just above 7 minutes. And seeing as how I cant find anything on youtube faster than 12 minutes for a Warrior, I honestly dont know the warrior record but I doubt its under 8 minutes. Being able to pull an entire hallway and become immune for 10 seconds gives them a massive advantage. Even the weaker damage reduction cooldowns allow the WHM to just spam aoes. We tried using a WHM and while doing the pulls at this speed, I often died a lot or the healer could only get 1 or 2 holy off, which negates the entire reason for bringing them in the first place if they cant cast a bunch of it. When using a warrior the healer is forced to actually heal. Lustrate is great for this and was the only RELIABLE way to prevent a major damage gib...since warrior cant reduce damage currently by any significant margin, especially when aoe'ing. The bonus 20% bard dps with the scholar using shadowflare was enough to outmatch the WHM, at least for us. I might need more gear but I doubt it.

Warrior doesn't do more AoE DPS than White Mage, lol.

Like I said , WAR uses sprint then has to use Flash to hold agro because they have no TP to use abilities . PLD has more MP and Flash does a bit more enmity and blinds .

There is no way a WAR would be faster than a PLD at speed run . Just like a WHM is far superior than a SCH at speed run easily .

Try adding a second BLM instead of the BRD.
