Ps3 main tanking.

Kudos for your win but there's no fluffers to be found here I'm afraid.

I was just trying to show ps3 players can do endgame content.. But these guys are flaming me like i talked about their mothers.

DPS actually do a lot more than the main tank especially melee, in pretty much any encounter even more so in turn 5. You do your job and soak up heals. Well to be fair its not like your dps takes some high iq level to do either. DPS has more steps to do their job but you don't have the success or failure of a run on your shoulders 90% of the time like tanks and healers do

Really a shame, to be honest. :<

The only reason any job is harder on the controller is less quickly accessible binds, but the next update is supposedly going to fix that.

I tank just fine with an xbox controller but a few abilities are further out of reach than I'd like, like Vengeance on Warrior and Tempered Will on PLD. And that's with plenty of macro stacking like COS+Flash, F/F+FB, etc.

I understand what you are saying 100%, now understand what im trying to say man.. Tanking and dpsing content it's not the same.. Sure you make it sound like all tanks do is a 3 hit combo and keep twintania locked right? Must be that easy.. Now the challenge comes, from doing it on a ps3 thats all im saying.. Again.. If it's so easy and nothing special, then by all means, please tank all coils and then you tell me how easy it was.

Um our tanks in Coil play PS3 and it has never been a issue. Granted we haven't taken down turn 5 yet but I don't even see a point here. I can almost never tell if a player is PS3 or PC. You are just a racist. The PS3 players deserve love to.

No I understand what comes with being a tank and a healer in encounters. Im just saying the main issues of turn 5 that you could even excuse for playing on ps3 arent even present as the main tank. What hes looking for is for someone to agree tanking on ps3 and pc are different when they come with the same exact thing. Especially considering both pc and ps3 can use a controller.

Clearly, most of the replies are from players who either don't play on ps3 or are aware of the limitations it has. This isn't about load screens, or graphical issues, it's more about the limited amount of buttons you have. I play on pc with a game pad, but I have added an entire clickable hotbar just for cds (which you can't do on ps3). This is why I won't play at all on ps3, even though I bought the game for it.
