People simply want to exert the least amount of effort possible to get their stuff. It's human nature.

You might have a point there if it weren't for those same people who "say they do not want an Auction House" to wax emotional about the endless possibilities of an NPC zombie middle-man server-crashing retainer who adds immersion and fun and is one of the only things standing between the treasured uniqueness of this game and WoW.
If they were to implement more of the AH-style features, I'd definitely say a big "Please, no" to Price Histories. Personally, though, I'm pretty happy with the way things are, or at least indifferent.
I never want to see timed biding, blind bidding, or price history ever again - plain and simple. Even the history feature was exploited nonstop by RMT and friends alike who just bought eachothers items for inflated prices until a standard was set. I like this "the item is worth whatever people are willing to pay the price tag on" system.
If anything is being added, my vote lies with only adding instant delivery. I mean, MY retainer is already in the wards, why can't she just pick up the merch and walk it out to me? It's a viable option.
From the main list, one would be able to CHOOSE if they wanted to browse the wards themselves, or have "their retainer deliver it to them" instantly.
Make it function like an NPC shop, but with an extensive, searchable, multi-page item list.
