The vanity system also isn't available in 2.1. Does that mean it's never coming out? Nope!
We've gone three months without 24-man content, yet suddenly it's inexcusable to not have a feature for it? lol

I'm pretty disappointed by this. I hope they change it soon.
Isn't most of the CT done with isolated 8-person groups, anyway?
Tell that to all the people who shout "GARUDA WEAPON SRS RELIC +1 ONLY MUST HAVE 10 PIECES OF ILVL70 OR BETTER".
Point is, that you have that part of your worries dispelled. Of course I would want to be able to form our own alliances, but at least your other 2 parties will be geared rightly for the instance. Performance is a whole another matter.
Lot of people are on the edge of quitting cause of the lack of raid content , and been really looking forward to CT even if it's easier and less rewarding , Compared to the Coil , which we clear in one night over the course of 1 hour .
We shaped our Fc upon a 3 raid setup , and we're really looking forward to play as a whole , , been forced to pug2/3 , won't really hold us until the next next next next fix , whit still only the coil as reliable content to do .
And i can imagine this situation for a lot of other endgame fc .
There is dps check to make sure decently geared people get through but there is no jerk filter for duty finder.
How come I don't get a choice to play with the nice people that I befriended on my server, the same people that I made our own FC with that I can trust and enjoy the game with. Call me antisocial but I don't always enjoy being forced to complete a task with 16 other strangers.
What kind of endgame have you been playing? Practically everything in this game apparently requires relic +1s and full darklight, according to all the people recruiting in Mor Dhona.
See, I can make blanket statements too. And stop cutting out the part where I stated my view of full-alliance formation.
There are two main gripes I can see with this decision.
1. Unable to form your own 24 man alliances.
2. Being forced to DF, subject to having lesser parties joining you or jerks trying to ruin it for you.
My post was directed towards the 2nd one, with the effect not being as disastrous due to the ilvl requirements. Performance of said parties is another thing. Jerks is another that apparently vote-kick/MVP is their solution.
My view on 1. has been stated already, if you can look past your blind rage.
Just to make it clear, I don't like how we can't form our own alliances. I would prefer running it with my FC members, with people I have met and become friends with from my server.
I'm just seeing the silver lining, what little there is.
They've already made it clear that they want all the "solo" players to be a part of the community in their own way... Though I do find that raiding dungeons are meant for premade groups of friends which is why I find it weird that they pretty much force FC's to split up just to do what they were formed for in the beginning. Guess the best we can do is await SE's explanation and hope that it'll change in time, question is, when they do open up the 24-man dungeons for a premade group, will we all be too tired of the place? Is it that easy that most of us have already farmed it in pugs for so long that we can't be bothered with it? Or is it going to be opened up in time for a new dungeon? SE shouldn't adapt the game too much to the people who can't find groups and indirectly punish the more motivated and "hardcore" players. Just look at WoW, fully adapted to make 5 year-olds manage it all, do we truly want a community like that in FFXIV?
Do you happen to have a quote from SE saying that we'd be able to queue for this dungeon at the same time with three parties at the very beginning? As far as I know, we've only been told it was 24-man content. I think most of this anger is based around false assumptions.
I should add: yes, I think it's really stupid that we can't form three parties and enter as an alliance. It's not worth getting mad at the addition since we haven't been told we could do so in the first place.
