Summoners abusing pet exploit on bosses

hmm. Not sure what his talking about, but I have used enkindle before my pet died and resummoned it and enkindle cooldown didn't reset.

Yeah, I've no idea either. Maybe a Summoner burned him, and now he's trying to get us burned?

....then wouldn't casting a different primal mid-battle also be considered an exploit? I see no issue with re-summoning to gain a CD advantage.

Do it enough and it will absolutely murder your MP.

Well an exploit by definition is using an "unintended game mechanic" that's not reported and is abused by players to progress themselves. Doesn't have to be a hack. The Demon Wall skip was an exploit. People found out about it and abused the shit out of it. Another example below.

Using WoW as an example: back when Ice Crown was in full swing (Final raid in the Wrath expansion) people were able to use cheap goblin bombs to easily kill the last boss. They did not report it and continued to abuse it. Hence it was labeled an exploit. They were all banned for it and was fixed in a later hotfix.

it's more along the lines of dotting something up then having garuda extend it then swiftcasting gardua again to extend it again so you have dots with timers so long that garuda will actually extend them again before they wear off

how is this even an exploit? it takes over 500 MP to resummon. It's hardly worth it just to reset the cooldown on the one ability on each summon that takes more than like 10 seconds to cool down.

I realize that you can get more duration out of contagion with this, but it will wipe your mp out just as fast as casting the dots again.

also resummon take a while to cast, that a huge chunk of dps you losing out

Even if that were true, I don't think it would be worth the effort/mp loss. Sure we have aetherflow, but that has a 1 minute CD that can't be exploited to make it even worth it.

I'd rather just play it the way it's intended. I hate taking shortcuts like that in a MMO. I feel dirty doing it.

it would definitely be worth the effort and mp loss if it's true, you are only missing out 2 ruins when casting a pet which will basically do a full rotation of a dot (which is more damage than 2 measly ruins), AND empowered too with raging strikes and intellect potion.

but it is not true, I just tested it, recasting garuda doesn't reset the contagion cd.
