It could be also from Eidos though.. like a tomb raider online. And it's in development for 2-3 years probably, if they'll announce this fiscal year.

SE deals in other MMO's aside from Final Fantasy. They had in Crossgate in 2001 "Before SE became a merged company" and they dabled with another but handed it off to another company before finishing it was called Fantasy Earth: Zero.
Hell SE has a large publishing base for very popular Manga/anime titles such as Full Metal Alchemist.
SE could probably pop out a Free to play MMORPG with a variaty of properties and rake in some cash with them to help bolster the financial backbone of the company. "FTP MMO's give slow but steady income as well cost little to maintain" Givin that they are working on so many projects at once I'm sure they are looking for a magic bullet to infuse some much needed cash inbetween the long release cycles they are having this generation. FFXIV was probably that aim for them but considering it failed to do so and even added another project to the expensive developement process thats not generating cash flow...A FTP cash farm would make the most sense. -

I would be shocked to see another major IP mmo released from square any time soon. If anything it will be a free to play mmo, they have several of those they are working on.

It won't be free to play because if you read the article he said 2-3 for REVENUE purposes so most likely this will be another PtP.
