People running Praet for tomes? What?
I don't see why people would still farm CM and prae for tomes. Even when it was the best way to do so I was farming WP for wp gear, then AK for AK gear, then moved on to partial DL etc. I actually had fun though, when going through Prae for a friend and everyone save me was new. Took longer, but we didn't wipe once and most got to watch their cutscenes. Wish they'd prioritize grouping people who haven't done it together, somehow.
One problem I've seen is. on the the very last fight of praetorium, for some reason party members positions are not reset to the edge of the area after beating the prior boss and going into the cut scene. Several times, a party member has been position exactly on top of or very near to the boss who aggroes and starts the fight. Last time I was there the healer spawned right on top of him which was odd because the only people in that area from the previous fight were me, the main tank and a couple melee dps.
Everytime I meet someone in game who hasn't done Prae or CM, I warn them about the people who pressure them to skip cutscenes, and remind them they can't be kicked.
The story is epic, and it really ruins it if you skip it. As the tank, any time I join one in DF I make sure the first thing I say in party chat is if it's your first time, feel free to watch them.
Because whether we like it or not, Speed Runs are NOT INTENDED.
i dont have a problem, but my first time in prae, we finished it with like 1-5 minutes to spare so those cs watchers could have been the difference between us winning and losing, that was my only concern. It was a shitty dungeon and i just wanted it to be over, thank god it was.
You can, in fact, rewatch every cutscene in the game. You just have to look outside the "main story" category for them. In case of Praetorium, it's "dungeons" (or similar).
That said, the feature is for rewatching, anyone who tells players to skip a cutscenes on their first runs deserves a slap and a "no".
